This huge, all-weather playbarn just 45 minutes from Birmingham is throwing its first-ever family-friendly festival next week. Hockerhill Fest is made up of everything from outdoor bubble displays to interactive circus workshops, and even a live Taylor Swift tribute performance in the afternoon.
Hockerhill Adventure Playbarn in Staffordshire—which is built around an awe-inspiring mock Royal Oak tree—is already one of the best things to do with kids near Birmingham. But from 10 am until 4:30 pm on Friday, August 21, Hockerhill Fest promises a vibrant programme of activities and live entertainment.

On top of one-off stilt walking and face painting, children can also play in Hockerhill’s immersive indoor and outdoor play zones. Whether it’s clambering up climbing walls, speeding down the slides, or zooming along the go-kart track, there is something to “challenge, entertain and inspire” your kids.
The festival highlight has to be the live Taylor Swift tribute act, so that young Swifties and their parents can sing and dance the afternoon away. As usual, refreshments can be purchased throughout at Hockerhill’s popular café, which uses locally sourced produce to create delicious seasonal menus.

“We’re delighted to welcome families to our very first Hockerhill Fest for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun, entertainment and creative play,” said Tessa Giffard, co-founder of Hockerhill Adventure Playbarn.
